So I am probably stuffed as far a re-newal hike goes but I guess our NCD is intact?

Should I accept their offer of the repair, if I get it in writing first that that are taking full responsibility, I am not bothered who does it as it almost 20 years old and a bit scruffy around the edges any way?

Just to close this subject, the insurance company took full responsibility but tried to direct me into their own bodyshop, I refused and after a bit of negotiation they agreed on my choice, the only compromise was to repair rather than replace the wing as they said by replacing it, it would of improved the car rather than repairing it to the condition before the accident, considering it is twenty years old, I couldnt really argue!

I take it no dealing was done with your own insurance co and direct with third party insurers.

Suppose it will still mean you will have to declare the accident at renewal though.

Yes your correct we didn't invole our own insurance company, and will disclose it at renewal, we are on a multi car policy and its my partners name as both carprs are registered to her, so guess they will hike it up but hopefully not too much, will wait and see.

If no claim was made on your insurance policy, there shouldn't be any hike and the liability should be down as with the third party. At least, I wouldn't be too worried if I were you. Smile
