Activate 4x4 screen in a "low spec" Disco3

Not sure if this was already posted or a "known trick" by most of you.
As a new 2007 XS owner, I found this trick super useful as the navigation maps are super outdated and from another part of Europe, which renders it pretty much useless.
I found this: video and decided to give it a try.
15 minutes later I had full access to the 4x4 menu and all the other "Range rover" options!
Highly recommend doing this little hack for us "low spec" users. [/url]

if you have a GAP IID tool you can just use the tool too enable the 4x4 screen by just changed the settings to high spec mode ( there is a topic on here for instructions somewhere) i did it on mine and its easier then this hack

although good hack if you dont have a GAP IID tool

Proper "low spec" ones don't have a screen.

That was the reason i chose the XS without the (leaky) sunroof, heated/electric seats. Laughing

Its an old hack and does partly work, the phone book gets confused sometimes and locks up if using the phone, the better mod for this was fit a D4 screen with newer maps, but even thats out of date now.
Waze app on the phone is the way to go on a D3 now for navigation.

Flack Thumbs Up
