Air bag light on dash
Hi all i have the airbag light on it has been for a while (57 plate discovery 3)
My mate read and cleared all the codes tonight and the light has come back on
Now the only code we have is
B0090-81: Left frontal restraints sensor. Invalid serial data received.
I was hopeing one of you may be able to point me in the right direction from here as to what the problem may be?
Thanks Chris

Has Geoff said check all connections under seats and under passenger side footwell panel on left had side remove and check.
If not it might be the clock spring connections as it was on mine

Hi all I am the mate who read codes I'm fairly sure its not the clock spring as the dynamic readings looked ok compared to the last one I changed.we didn't get any further than that tonight it was to bloody cold and I only popped in on my way home from work and thought the pub looked more appealing

did yer resolve the issue, just that I too have got me airbag light on...did the coupling last year
Mine was a wiring problem under the seat. If I lowered the seat it went away, but SWMBO couldn't see So when I raised it again I got the pling and light on dashboard. 4 screws to take off seat cushion and I saw where the wire had been rubbing, so was an easy fix.

What scan tool did you use to get the subfault of B0090 fault code?

B0090-81 (AF) and B0090-11 (2C)
After a lot of valuable advice, this time I must write that you are wrong.
I had 2 errors: B0090-81 (AF) and B0090-11 (2C) including amber airbag worning. Listening to the advice, I spent 3 hours under the seats of my Disco4. No results.
The solution to the problem "Left frontal restraints sensor" (as described by the tool/warning decoder) is the left front crash sensor. Part number 5H2Z-14A686-BA. It is located behind the left headlight (radiator area), and is screwed with two screws (Torx30). Access to the inside one is difficult, but it can be removed without additional disassembly.
I replaced the sensor, amber light disappeared even without additional error removal. 15 min job.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
