Anyone encountered this one.....

If I leave the car for a week, get in foot on brake push start button - nothing!! Shocked
But if I push the pedal really hard (and I mean hard) it will start
anybody else had this issue?????

Yep, but I'd been contemplating the subject of "is yours stiff in the morning?" Whistle

Most days, the pedal has some give, and starting is no problem. But on the odd morning, the brake pedal is rock hard, and I have to really push down hard to start first go. I can't see any obvious correlation with things like epb on or off (usually off), suspension height etc, nor with time since last drive - can happen the morning after getting home late the night before, rather than having to leave it a week as you describe

Same here ... you can also get out, fully lock the car, and reopen and usually starts OK then. Strange ...

Yup seen this on mine and others. My guess is that when the car has been sat and the brake servo pressure leaks down; the brake pedal does not move enough to register. Always a harder push or a let go of the button and re-press sorts.

Adjust the position of the brake switch a bit?

yep mine too does this. the car went in for sudden loss of power to the dealer on steady acceleration and they traced it back to the brake pedal/switch needing adjusting as there wasnt enough free play before the switch engaged! so add that to the list.......
