Hi all,
use this on my D3 and its a godsend.
i have an off topic question was wondering if anyone could help please.
a friend has a 2014 xr jag.. the backup battery failed and after recovery and fitting a new one, all working except central locking..
it wont resync manually and garage has said it needs doing at jlr on the sdd interface and ecu telling a new battery has been installed
can my autel do this...
i know i can tell the discovery a new battery is installed and it resets things..
any help appreciated.
sorry its off topic of discovery but i cant see any general area i coupd post this.

I cannot confirm that your Autel will do what you want although it seems likely. You will however have to buy a Jaguar application which will be valid for a year. Cost about £20, I think.

Autel works with my 2019 xf.
Haven’t tried the battery functions.

This is a common problem on the XF and has nothing to do with the new battery - it can happen anytime the battery is disconnected and reconnected. The garage is correct about using SDD to fix the central locking problem by running the Immobilisation routine.
(he should consider himself lucky that its only the central locking not working, sometimes disconnecting the battery on that model of Jag can corrupt the BCM/CJB which is a lot more complicated to put right). 2010 D4 TDV6

I don't think resetting the battery is the problem as it will be done automatically after the car has been driven a few miles. I have never found it necessary on a Disco.
Try using the spare remote and/or the AP200, it won't do any harm. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
