Sorry guys, but I'm back on topic!
Just wondering .... the time will come when your LR dealer advises 'you need new discs, sir'.
It would be interesting to get a price for direct replacement, and then a price using the larger discs?
After all they're spending the same labour time [well almost] so it should just be the difference in the discs and the cost of the anchor brackets?
Also, there wouldn't be any warranty issues, would there ..???

Pelyma, as far as I remember it was a RRS, though they should work fine with a D3 too.
For those wondering about the difference in price, here are the retail prices of TDV6 discs for comparison with the prices I posted above:
TDV6 front disc: SDB000636 - €37.82+VAT
TDV6 rear disc: SDB000636 - €51.42+VATIE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver
SA - 07 VW Golf TDI - White - Sold!
I know it's different than what your talking of but i supplied a Brembo upgrade for a RRS a little while ago, same things discs, calipers, mount plates and discs...all direct replacement.
How long before someone asks the question ?TLO has left the building.......

Having done some further invstigation around this it seems that it would not be such a simple upgrade process, certainly WRT to adding Brembo's.
ECU's would need to be 'updated' to cater for the change in braking configuration, amongst other things.
