Blank line on information screen
Has anyone had a horizontal line of pixels stop working on the centre information LCD display ?
Mine has a single row which won't work regardless of what information the display is showing. I've switched off and on again etc without any improvement. It drives OK, it's just very annoying to see it each day. Is there some other reset I could try ?
I guess it's another days work at the dealer, only for them to tell me they don't stock that item and it's now on order.

Had exactly the same thing happen in my RR only it was a single vertical line of pixels missing.
They replaced the display but this type of fault is common with LCD digital displays and is usually nothing more than a loose connection.
The connections to the many LCD digital display is not a fixed ( soldered ) connection but is an electrical connection through a type of rubber like conductive strips on the back of either side of the display.
Some times, pressing VERY gently at a point on either side of the display can actually fix the fault but it will still probably come back.2008 TDV8 RR Lux + 2009 D4 2.7
