Bonnet Stuck Closed

Hi

Bonnet cable is offering no resistance. How do you open the bonnet? Please send by PM.

Thanks
Nick

Hardware, I think you are confusing me with someone else. My cable has not previously failed.

Please can someone send me a PM about how to get my bonnet open. When the cable snaps or junction box fails?

Thanks Nick

Sorry, you're both correct. I forgot that I had already asked, maybe as no one had send me a PM about it. But I still need a solution if the bonnet cable does snap - for example when I am away from signal and don't have access to this forum. For clarity my cable has not snapped....yet.

Thanks
Nick

If the bonnet is still opening at the moment I’d recommend replacing the cables now Thumbs Up

if catches are in good condition, cables shouldn't snap.

however, the junction box where the cable from the pull-lever joins the cabling for the catches can, I believe, be mod'ed to prevent them separating.

Thanks!

Have ordered the two cables. Put WD-40 on the latches. And had a good look around the cables so have some idea how one might tackle the job if bonnet is stuck closed.
