My boys first camp

Took my 4 year old on his first camping trip this weekend, we only went down to Kidderminster so we could test his kalm tablets (suffers from really bad car sickness) and so we were only 45 min from home for if and when he decided that camping was the worst thing ever and I had to bring him and the wife home (she’s not a keen camper either)

He loved it ! (Much to the wife’s dismay) he had a great time and was actually “grown up” and responsible around gas, tent and other site users so roll on more camps Smile

I can’t believe how much extra kit you need to take when the son comes with you though, but it did mean I got to load up the roof and justify spending on rack and ladder over the last few months (SWMBO - “what you need that for!” when they arrive at the door)

My Wife thinks the D3 is a hobby, The D3 thinks the wife is 💕

Make sure you get him his own Knife, Fork and Spoon kit that all clips together.

My first trip my Dad gave me a kit that I still have today, well the spoon! 57 now and that is a cool memory.

Well done Thumbs Up

Perfect Thumbs Up

I remember doing this with both mine (now 18 & 23)

You can still get those survival kits in the tobacco tins, do a search on ebay Thumbs Up

I got a couple for them when younger and added a pen knife
