Just had a new one happen... driving to work I could hear a clunking noise coming from the rear right wheel, pulled over expecting something like a shredding tyre... the tires were all ok.. Thought I must have been hearing things. The noise continued so I stopped got right under the rear axle and noticed that the brake line to the wheel had come out of the hook holder and was rubbing against the wheel; the rubber had worn away right down to the steel cover! the wear mark was about 2" long!  . I think I might put a cable tie on them all to stop this happening again! Suggest you all check yours to make sure they are firmly in the holders! I was lucky to get it in time, had it happened on the open road I think it would have worn through instantly.

Hi Kenso,
Good on Ya. Now I'm all paranoid 'bout the truck. Just been over with a fine tooth comb and looks OK. Thanks for the tip. My brake line runs through a flange after the clip and before going to a flexible hose section and on to the cylinder. Maybe a different set up to yours? The line would have to break through the steel flange before it could touch the wheel.
