C1a20 Fault Code

Need help please to try an remedy this problem on my 06 D3. The compressor will run for thirty seconds to a minute and then it throws up the code C1A20. I have taken the AMK compressor off and checked the desiccant which was a little damp - it was changed 10 months ago and so fried it off and cleaned the housing out and I also made sure the exhaust valve solenoid was clean. I removed the centre valve block and thought I had given that the proper once over but have since found that I can strip it down a little more and will try and do that later as I only changed the orange and block o rings. There is air coming our of the compressor when it is on and there is some pressure in the line with the white tape on as it hisses for a minute or so when I remove it.

Any suggestions on what to look at for it would be a great help.

That code normally means the output from compressor is low, so a refurb may be on the cards.

I thought that but beyond the seals, exhaust valve and desiccant what else can I service on an AMK compressor as that was all done 10 months ago?

Its an AMK one, I cant work out what the problem is as sometimes it goes no bother and sometimes it comes up with the yellow fault light and cuts out - I have noticed that it is starting to say special programmes are not available just before the fault light comes on and also if it is running and I put it into extended mode it is more often than not throwing up the yellow fault as well.

Head is done in with it now!!

My C1a20 was traced to a leaky tank as per -

https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic177122...p;start=15

full fault when read on GAP IID was C1A20-64

Replaced the tank and all was good
