Cambelt Service (2nd time) and worth doing pump?

My 2007 discovery 3 had the upgraded pump and cambelt change 7 years ago. Now reaching the stage where I’m going to get the belt done again, as a precaution. Should I do the pump as well. I say it like it’s me, but it will be the garage. Also having an airbag changed at front as one is leaking when on extended/full height - you can hear it.

Will also get a review done on it and may get gearbox oil done and brake pads etc. Expecting a big bill but MOT is in 3 months so preventative work. 2007 Discovery 3 HSE Lugano Teal

Just time how long the oil light stays on for when first started, if it seems long change it, if not should be fine. I did my second set of belts and did not renew the oil pump as my light still goes out almost immediately. I did change my oil pump in 2009.

Thanks for that. I’ve got in booked in at Rogers of Bedford next week - unless any local mobile mechanics want to quote me for the work? Based in Bedford.

Also on the list is the EGR delete and programming, and gearbox full flush. 2007 Discovery 3 HSE Lugano Teal

IMHO the belt is not the biggest risk…. Bearings in the idler pulley’s and tensioners are… also the bolts in the tensioners are advisable to change Some external engine bolts of these engines are made of cheese Best regards
