Hi can anyone shed any advice on mounting an aerial on a 2012 model Disco as I believe most of the body work is aluminium so I haven't got a clue as to where or how to mount an aerial.
Ps- I don't wish to drill holes in the body work. Big Cry

Thanks for that DG am at ma wits end with aerials not knowing anything about them. Wanted to put a boot mount up by the high level brake light but it appears to be plastic. Magmount I kind off body swerved incase it scratchs the car.
But it seems that's the only option so magmount it is....
Thanks again.....

The rail mount from RLD is excellent. It bolts onto the roof rail, no need for any drilling. You just need roof rails which I think your car has?

Available from the site shop. Click the SHOP link under the site heading Thumbs Up

EDIT: it says sold out, so maybe PM RLD (aka Uncle Ray) to see if he has made anymore.

I use a mag mount on my D4, if you go down that route just make sure it has a rubber boot on it to protect the paintwork.

As my aerial is only on when I am out on green lanes I just run the cable down through the gap in between the front and rear doors with a piece of tape to keep it in place, not sure how long my cable is exactly but it is about 5m

Give careful thought as to how long an aerial you want. Mine was about 1.3m and was twanging off all the trees in the Dales/Pennines yesterday with the following result Shocked

So if anyone comes across a blue twig up there can I have it back please!!

P.S. Mine has a 4m long wire, I place it in the middle of the roof, run it back to the rear door/hatch then back under the rubber mat & seats to the radio wedged between the passenger seat & centre console. The power lead for the CB I plug into the socket behind the console leaving the dash ones free for iPad/phone chargers. Thumbs Up
