Changing Inlet Manifold

Happy New Year All,

Has anyone ever changed the inlet manifold on bank A of the 3.0L TDV6? It appears mine has developed a crack. I have ordered a new part but I cannot seem to find any mention anywhere of anyone changing one and how easy/hard it is to do? LR wanted £325 to do a job they say should take 2.5hrs!! Looking at various diagrams and pictures etc, it looks like you need to remove all the injectors, fuel rail and associated pipework and then various other small bits attached to it, before finally unbolting it. Simple hey? Has anyone changed injectors etc? are they a pig or fairly straight forward to remove? Any info/advise is welcome, before I start pulling it all apart at the weekend.

Cheers

Foss

Hi Russell, thanks for the speedy reply. I will see what they say but the Disco is 10 months out of warranty it does have dealer stamped FSH but it has covered 154,000 miles so I doubt they will be able to help.

given what you've said needs to be removed and then refitted, £325 from a LR dealer doesnt sound to bad.
