Cool box D3 to D4
Hi, on the final stretch to replacing my 2006 D3 with a 2016 Landmark D4. One on the features we find useful in our old girl is the cool box between front seats which we unexpectedly found we had when we bought her new in 2006! Can we move it from our D3 to the D4? We aren't trading the D3 in and don't expect to get zip for her so we would like to take as much off her as possible.
Also are the removable tow bars the same on both D3 & D4? It appears the the D4's one is missing but we have the D3's sitting in our garage.
Tow bar definitely the same. May not be missing as it was an option so may not have been on the car at all.
Fridge i THINK can be fitted but IIRC there is different functionality regarding auto on/off to be wary of..

ISTR putting a D3 fridge into a D4 is fine, it’s the other way round that’s the issue as the D4 fridge has no voltage sensor and just stays on. Deffo a worthwhile mod.
Re taking parts off the D3, just the accessories/extra or full strip down?

DSL: just accessories. We have full dog guard/cage plus firearm security so whole lot will move across. Cool box, matts and all the assorted empty crisp packets are the only other stuff we are considering! lol

I swapped a D3 fridge from my D3 into a MY2010 D4, and latterly a 2016 Landmark. No issues whatsoever.

I knew D4 had a huge load bay but fitting a RRS in is very impressive, did you have to fold the seats down ? 2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

I am no car mechanic but fairly handy with a fair range of tools (I'm a gunsmith!). Is there a link to reliable Youtube video of how to do this? Coincidentally the new wheels are a 2016 Landmark! Thanks in advance.

D3 and D4 detachable tow bars are similar but not identical. They are interchangeable so no issues, it’s just the 2010 revised version has a bigger plastic rotating lock section.
