D3 Parts Help Please!
Good morning to all,
I would appreciate your feedback on some parts I ordered and I am very reluctant on using these.
When I ordered the parts I specifically asked for no Britpart / Allmakes but the 3 boxes arrived and lo and behold…..the main items that are needed are either Britpart or Allmakes! Now the car is booked in for a major maintenance job and I’m in a huge dilemma.
Britparts are:
EGR Blanking Kit
Silicone Intercooler/Hose Kit
Front and Rear Suspension Arm Fitting Kit (bunch of bolts for the arms basically)
Circlip Rear Hub (Part.No. RLG000010)
Allmakes:
All the Brake Hoses
Bearing Kits (SNR)
Now with the allmakes it’s a bit strange since the parts are clearly other brands but have the allmakes sticker on them. The bearing kits are SNR and the brake hoses are the attached photo since I cannot make out what the brand is.
I used these 2 brands once on a 300TDI and vowed never again. Anyone have any feedback for these items? I really do not have the time or money to experiment and keep needing to go back Into the mechanics to replace these parts (which is usually the case). On the other hand the return and sourcing new parts will take at least a month (plus extra customs and shipping fee) and the car just sitting there) with the holidays coming up.
Still haven’t contacted the site I purchased the items from so do not know what their response will be but I really want to avoid the hassle of low quality bad parts.

I know it's not always easy from outside of the UK but if you use one of the site sponsors (like advanced factors) then you'll always get what you order... worth eliminating that risk from the outset...I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

If it has a G at the end of the part number Im always happy to use to, believe it is the same as the original part fitted without the same massive cost

It should be but usually without the logo. I bought a thermostat housing for the V8 and the place for the logo was obscured/scratched out. Britpart buys a lot of JLR spares and reboxes them, I got told.

I don't have any experacnce of the Britparts parts you ordered.
However I would like to think they wouldn't be any worse than others.
They either fit or don't fit. And once fitted to the car, should last the same time as other brands

We spend £20k a month with Britpart.
Their own brand stuff can be a bit hit & miss, but their OEM/G range is just fine, and is what we normally stock My D3 Build Thread

Hi Disco_Mikey,
Do all their parts have a G if they are genuine or does that vary? All the parts I mentioned above do not have the G at the end of the part number. I spoke with the supplier (not sure if its OK to mention the name here) they assured me its top-quality OE parts they supply just so to avoid customer complaints and returns etc...
The parts that worry me the most are the turbo hoses and the fitting kits for all the upper and lower arms. I'm thinking about purchasing all the bolts again from a store nearby just to be sure.
Last time I fitted Britpart hoses to my RRC 300TDi and some bushes they lasted about 1 week (and that was just commuting to work and back)Discovery 3, TDV6, HSE, 2006
