D4 Side Step Recommendations

First job half completed! Removed the plastic sill and removed original LR side step, the plan was to refurb the steps but found a hole not to bad but then removed the black plastic top part and thought I will swap over for a new set.
I ordered a cheap set off flea bay they came today and the quality is not great! So they will going back. Any recommendations on side steps?? Looking for black

I removed mine and went for Prospeed sliders with the step inserts. Very pleased... Jim

Yes I agree, i would prefer them but the price is on the high side. Just purchased some front runner kit the wife wont let me spend anymore.. Big Cry

I got a fleabay set from TurboRevs. Reused my old brackets as limited for time when I did it, so can't comment on brackets being a good fit - but they look substantial. .

These side steps went on my D4 today from fleabay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361212813737. Brackets and boards were a perfect fit with no cutting/adjustments required.

Gave them a lick of hammerite beforehand so hopefully they will last a while!

The bolts were seized it was easer to remove the steps from the body, than to cut off!

Side sills looked good when I removed the side step and the sill covers, cleaned them of and applied a good dose of Waxoyl. Thumbs Up
