Date and time resetting to 12:00 and 01/01/2009

2010 Discovery 4 dare and time resetting to 01/01/2009 and 12:00 while switched off. Sometimes the date and time keeps it’s correct settings but more often than not they don’t.
Is there a separate battery for the clock that I need to replace?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I noticed that there have been 163 views of this post so wondered if any of those readers had experienced this issue and if they had resolved it?

My MY2010 will reset when playing with my IID, or when the battery is disconnected. Therefore maybe power is being lost to an ECU when the ignition is off.

I would start with getting codes read and a hard reset.

Regards,
Steve

Thanks for the advice on getting codes and the hard reset. I’ll visit my local garage and ask them to connect the necessary diagnostic kit.
