Disco 4 2009 3.0 TDV6 EGR cleaning

I've just bought a 2009 Disco 4 3.0 TDV6 and there are no reasons to suggest the EGR valves are clogged. But.... it's done 153k and I'd like to get in there first, before there's a problem!

I'm planning on removing the valves, cleaning them and reinstalling. Is there anything else I can do without replacing them? I'm thinking about not just cleaning, but "servicing" them.

Any advice gratefully received!

I have a 2010 3L tdv6 which is probably the same as yours. I occasionally get fault codes for stuck egr.
I lubricate the moving parts with wd40 and all is well for months. If you get someone to cycle the ignition on and off,you can see the actuators moving.
The egrs on the D4 are different from the d3 and much more difficult to remove. I have not been able to find anything on the forum in the way of a “how to “.If you decide to go ahead you must write it up.

I've been searching for guides and found nothing! Lots of Disco 3 videos on YouTube but nothing "4"...

If I get round to it I might make a video....
