Front Diff LR006011 or LR056944
Hi to all
I should decide whether to replace my defective front diff with either a recon one by Land Rover ( part no LR006011) or a new Britpart OEM one (eg. https://www.lrdirect.com/lr056944-differential-front). The price to rebuilt mine here in Greece is too high so i go with one of the above two options
The following questions are bothering me....
Has anyone any experience to share for the Britpart OEM one?? Is it made by the same manufacturer producing the genuine one??
Is the reconditioned genuine one a better option????
I' ve told that i should replace the whole breath hose LR028144 as well
Cheers

Firstly, make sure you get one with the correct ratio.
I've never known a breather pipe need to be changed but there is/was a modified Gortex membrane cap fitted at some point after 2008, also available as a service part.
I would never fit anything with 'Britpart' on it in the drivetrain - or anywhere else on the vehicle TBH.

Good day
thnx for the info!
1) I don't know whether BRITPART is the manufacturer or just the supplier for the new OEM one....someone who could assist please.....??
2) D3 diesel automatic transmission front diff has 3.54:1 ratio. I guess this is the correct, right? I've been told that the two part nos which fit (as per the VIN no) are TAG500140 or the LR056944 (Land Rover has superseded it with this one). So i believe both parts have the 3.54:1 ratio, right?
Best regards

Britpart is an aftermarket supplier and may sell an OEM product but they don't make any genuine LR parts, i would just find a low mileage used front diff 3.54 ratio.

Brittpart?? - got one - whined within 3 months.
Got a rebuilt from Land Rover plus 12 months warranty- they installed it.
Breather pipe replaced although I believe only the valve thingy to be installed at the end of the existing hose is available separately.
No problems after 3 and a half years.

thanx to all for your replies.
I believe i go for the LR recon. LR006011
i have also contacted various sellers asking info for the OEM one. Info i have gathered:
These units are new units made in the UK by an OEM manufacturer and as per supplier they hadn’t had any issues with these. They reckon they haven’t had a return on one They also state that they have had no warranty claims for them ....probably Borge Warner still makes them for JLR......they stopped labeling the boxes with the manufacture so seller is not sure if something happened...
