G4 Challenge vehicles
Noticed this at a nearby garage forecourt which piqued my curiosity

According to the Wikepedia page on the G4 the D3 was only used on the 2006 challenge and only as the 4.4 V8 petrol.
This particular version is in fact a 2.7 TDV6 Diesel, having done 110K.

Was there a Diesel version or is the advert claiming it is genuine G4 not kosher?A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an MG5 EV

Can’t fully read the number plate in your picture but appears to be the same series as the one in the promotional image on the G4 site

There were 66 disco’s produced for the 2009 challenge but it was cancelled due to the economic turndown.
I am pretty sure all of them were diesels… a couple of early ones were 57 plated but the majority were 08 plated..
