Going into limp mode on the same piece of road !!
Bit of a strange one this - My D3 nearly always goes into limp mode on the same piece of road.
The road in question is a long A road (60mph) straight and downhill, just steep enough to use neither brake or accelerator, so basically coasting down.
Once to the bottom, it's roughly the same up the other side. So foot on accelerator and roughly 100 meters in and engine goes into limp mode
Turn off and back on, and it's fine again, all the way home.
Does very occasionally do it elswhere, but not often.
Used to do it a lot until I changed O ring on throttle body, which has cured it 99% of the time..
Any suggestions please

It does sound like fuel a delivery problem, codes should provide some direction but in the absence of a scan tool you could try changing the fuel filter and see if it improves.

I've actually just serviced, including fuel filter.
Problem is just the same, both before and after the service.
It's your non-standard number plate that's causing it just put a "square" one on and it will be fine.

Best to read the codes so and see what comes back, possibly P0087, P2290, amongst others if it's fuel pressure issues. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I've just noticed tonght what could be a split in the intercooler hose (oil stain near bottom) will investigate tomorrow.
Is it possible this could cause my problem ?

It's not unusual to see it wet down there at the joint, but if you did have a pressure leak it would cause the ECM to throw a code resulting in limp.
Investigate by all means, but it would also serve you well to have the codes read. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Simple thing, don't use that road. As it is going downhill first and then uphill when the fault occurs it would seem like possible fuel starvation is the problem. Is the tank less than a quarter full? May suggest that the tank filter is getting blocked.

Had the exact same problem on the same stretch of road every morning going to work,Turnrd Disco off then fine again. It was the turbo hose that split
