On going problem - reversing issue

Don’t know if any of you are also on the fb page d3 d4 technical page, so apologies for the repeat question
I’ve changed :-
Rear
Discs
Pads
Callipers
Park brake shoes
Front
Pads
Callipers
All 4 wheel speed sensors
Brake servo
Vacuum pump & pipes
She’ll reverse the full length of the street solo, so I’ve just put my iFor Williams trailer on with about a quarter of ton of sand in and it’s gone into melt down system failure and ever fault known to man…….. what the hell can be next to replace ?????, got to get to the bottom of this problem sooner rather than later ! Any ideas

Just to add, I’ve taken trailer off ect….. reset any fault codes and even just starting it and selecting reverse makes it go into system failure no gears, HDC fault suspension fault you name it !

we've had a couple of recent posts where water in the towing electrics has been a factor, might be worth a look ?

edit : I typed as you added the 2nd part ... less sure now.

ok ... further thought.

selecting reverse puts volts into rear light clusters so you may have the "duff brake light problem".

If a filament in the stop/taillight breaks and touches the other filament, the car detects volts on circuits it shouldn't and moans. could be triggered by reversing lights going live.

also check for water in the connections.

Does it do it with the trailer electrics disconnected ?

Does the trailer have led indicators or brake lights

And I was only expecting "moisture" to be the cause. Laughing
