Insurance cover from non 4x4 specialised providers

How would they regard coverage if we use our vehicles on "soft road"? Not green laning, which I dont plan on doing.

The best quote I have got is from LV and Direct line. FullyComp with european breakdown approx £680ish. I'm just concerned that if i breakdown on a field, or on a country track, they may refuse any claim.

Either. Lets say I damage the car in snow conditions. Would insurers view that as unacceptable and decline any claim?

Green laning should be covered on all policies - they are public roads.

For what it's worth, i'm insured with LV - and pay less than £400
 Mark.
2006, D3 SE Auto - gone but not forgotten.

depends then on the insurers own policy details - if you are off road on your own private land (say a farm for example) then I can't see it being any different from having an accident on your drive way.

but if you are on a pay/play site or off roading on private tracks such as the keilder event then I expect it would be different!

I got two quotes in yesterday from Land Rover & NFU Mutual, both were aprox the £650 mark, but both of these insurers cover you for off road driving, with the usual disclaimers against rallies, trials etc.

Land Rover is 21.0% apr if you pay monthly against 2.75% from NFU

Quotes from sureterm and NFU were around the £800 mark. If voice only could sell, the lady at the end of the nfu phone would get my custom! She sounds very nice Wink However, back to the real world. As its my first year of ownership, I wont be able to get any price down to the levels that you guys are paying. Its down to DirectLine or LV (LV being a few £ cheaper).
