Island 4x4 - HELP
Does anyone have a direct contact number for Island 4x4 other than the one listed on their website???
I recently ordered some HD drop links from them last week but still haven't recieved them! Tried ringing but noone ever answers and ive sent several emails again which haven't be responded too.
To top it off my customer login details to their website are no longer recognised
Moral of the story be cautious if ordering from them...

To add ballance, I've ordered many times from Island, and never had any issue.
It's like most internet based businesses now, it works when it works, but is a pain when it doesn't.Richard

I've also used them quite a lot and been more than happy.
But have also had experiences where previously exemplary suppliers have suddenly stopped answering the phone and found they've gone under.
I'm also as guilty as everyone else, in that our expectation has grown quicker than most of this type of business can cope with.
These companies were a cottage industry a few years ago, yet now we expect the same levels of service and delivery times from them as we do from Amazon, Tesco etc.
Who remembers waiting for your monthly hobby magazine to appear on the newsagent shelf that month, seeing an advert, sending a cheque and waiting 28 days for delivery?Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over.

I have one bad experience from Island 4x4 - my last with them.
I received a broken item, tried to contact them but they never responded. Several emails and call attempts later, I started Visa Chargeback procedure and got refunded.

Looks like i'm not the only one then unfortunately!
Agreed issues can occur but in this day and age companies of that size should have functioning websites and better methods of contact

Typically they are just a few miles from me and were perfect when I could just pop into their trade counter and pick up what I needed..I still use them but am always prepared to wait at least a week for stuff to arrive..
I now prefer to use Advanced Factors who are sometimes more expensive but they have a no quibble guarantee and the parts normally arrive the following day! Outstanding service..

also useto pop into the shop but see it’s now online only
Indeed with regards to advanced , never have a worry about ordering from them and always a phone call away if u have an enquiry about a part , fantastic service

Are you sure you've ordered them from their genuine Web site?
I once bought a Barbour coat from Hobbs of London only to find it was a bogus site, I did eventually get a coat with Barbour written on it but it wasn't genuine just a China copy. It can when others can't,
