Just broke my MPG record

Hi D4 sdv6...8 years old...80k...drove down from Manchester to Lincoln....took it easy....result...46mpg!!! average!!! MY 2015 Se tec SDV6 auto
Extras added:
Electronic diff
Meridian 17 speaker audio
Cool cubby box
Full size spare
Tow bar
Surround Cameras
Black rear tints
Cosmic grey interior panels

Interesting. Engine up to temp before you set off?? Tyre pressure very high?
What tyres are you using?

I've just looked up the figures for my old D3.

It covered 86k miles from new until I sold it, and overall achieved 25.5 MPG.

I recorded every drop of fuel used & almost always filled the tank to the brim, so that my spreadsheet indicated MPG accurately every time I refilled.

Worst 20.0 at Christmas time with snow & heater, heated steering wheel, heated screens etc & FBH running all the time.

Best 31 MPG and all motorway return trip with little traffic on a warm February day.

My D4 has done 24.0 MPG over the 35.8k miles since I bought it.

Got 58.87mpg (reality) from Skippy yesterday, though just short of my prev record of 58.96mpg. Yesterday was mostly heading N so should improve on the return as S down on the map. Whistle Whistle

Air con on for the return trip and gave it the beans a few times so happy with that from the 400hp on tap

Just drove back to London from Cornwall on the M4- No air on or radio, steady 70+ mph hitting 1,800/1,900 rpm gave me 38+ mpg Discovery 4
