latest ACM installed - all ok - 55 V8 HSE

Just to report I have the ACM installed now.

This is one of the latest versions that Nick supplied.

Works fine on my 55 plated orange monster.

Thanks to Nick for the help!

allows connection of an Ipod/Iphone into the D3 audio system

also provides additional audio on phonos into the disco too

Have you tried the iphone in it yet? I take it this is the one without the cradle?

no cradle in the kit thats right

hmm if you provide an unlocked Iphone on perm loan Ill be happy to report if its ok Wink

Yep, Iphone works...they (L/R) have not had chance to try the 3G version but are more than confident it works TLO has left the building.......

How big a job is it to install the new version of the ACM? Is it something that a blind-in-one-eye-short-sighted-in-the-other one armed technophobe could do themselves or is it something best left to a dealer? Question Smile

Very straight forward install. Only part that will require confidence is removing the trim round the radio unit. The rest is simple enough if you follow the instructions. There are plenty of pics and tips on here.

installation

dunno ...I let my local auto installer do it .. charged me 60 euro (40 quid) for around 2 hrs work while I was in a meeting in my office!

no brainer really Rolling with laughter

works a treat too!

Got nick to order me the telephone controls now ... hope I can fit that on a DIY basis ok!
