Just having a look at the leaflet in the dealer, first thing that springs out is no details of what is & isn't covered, just vague heading of what isn't covered. To get the details of what you are buying you have to buy it first! Wear & tear not covered, that will be the major get out. Will stick with Warranty Direct when Tesco runs out. I'm so gonna miss Tesco

The approved cover just lists what it does not cover, so it looks very comprehensive.

That's one hell of a "mark-up" if I read my deal from LR. When i bought my D3 last summer they extended the warranty and the "internal cost" was about £435 (from memory).

The dealer paprework I saw recently showed their commission as £50. Last December it was £75.
Interestingly I rang Stratstones to confirm the quote I had been given elsewhere and was told they no longer offer LR's warranty. Perhaps because there is not enough money in it for them, but how can a main dealer not offer the manufacturers branded warranty?
