Is there 3 fuel pumps ? LPFP and HPFP and what else ?
I'd forgotten about this thread, but there's 4 fuel pumps on the TDV6. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Is it splitting hairs to say the thing we refer to as the HPFP is actually 2 pumps? A rotary vane feed pump and then the 3 pot piston pump.

Correct! (Give that man a Cigar)
And no you're not splitting hairs, LR and SiemensVDO both list them as separate operational components. The ITP which feeds the volume control valve and the HP pump which feeds the fuel rail. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
