This outfit blows hot and cold. Bob helped me out when I was stuck, he bought stuff off me and there was no indication of problems to come as you will see from my posts I had to go the Court to get money owed. Crazy when you are a specialist LR operator and selling on this forum.
There are on this forum differing opinions, top blokes get repeat recommendations. On MMJ I have a view, my test is would I do business again.......no. D3 2.7 Zermatt silver (not another one)

I emailed MMJ and pointed them to this thread and asked for their side
the silence is deafening and I've not had any response
Be warned, I wouldn't part with any cash

I've dealt with MMJ a couple of times, 1st when they were in a modern unit and compound on a trading estate on the outskirts of Keighley, the last occasion they had moved to a 'back street' old brick building in the centre of Keighley, I guessed it was a backward move. Loads of old stock of various models stacked everywhere there was room, plenty of complete cars, breakers and customers??, mine was booked in for new torque convertor and was duly left with an understudy, Hmmm! went downhill from there, the inclement weather didn't help, neither the staff absence or Bobs other 'issues', I took back my Disco and had the work done elsewhere. I have no doubt Bob is a very knowledgable chap and has the makings of a successful business,BUT he needs better more reliable staff and to adopt a system that is customer friendly, rather than trying to juggle ten balls in the air simultaeously and regularly drop half of them.

indeed … cursing on here doesn't solve anything.
the consensus that no-one should buy off them … that will hurt them. i'm not saying spread the "don't buy from these people" message, just share the poor experiences several have had. keeping it legal !

I 'saw the light' with this lot when they were selling a set of wheels at a 'forum members special price'.
It was indeed 'special' as it was around 20% more expensive than they were advertising the same set on e-bay. 🏴

MMJ is certainly getting mixed reviews!
Now I was asked to source a front diff for a D4. Phone call to MMJ , yes they had one so I went across to Keighley watched them book it in with the courier. From the phone call to the item being delivered to Germany was less then 30 hours so on that front no problems.
Now I asked for a VAT receipt and got told they were no longer VAT registered as the company had bee separated into 4 different parts all below the VAT threshold.
Now time between initial phone call to delivery in Germany within 30 hours is pretty impressive. OK being brutally honest the Germans had to do a couple of very minor repairs but nothing to shout home about.
The fact that MMJ is not VAT registered is slightly worrying.
For me? Having read this thread I would only visit and collect goods/see goods booked into courier/pay my credit card for slightly higher protection.

If you have a good experience great but for those of us who have had to chase to get money refunded that is no fun and people need to know. With regular non returned phone calls, unfulfilled email promises and eventually in utter frustration resorting to the courts to get my £300+ back as a trading business it is a nonsense. In some circumstances I would have walked but because the experience was an exercise in deliberate deceit I decided to sue.
Some experiences need to be brought to the attention of the forum, the threat of legal action provided focus, you can make your choice. D3 2.7 Zermatt silver (not another one)
