Blocks are fine until you need new tyres, then when they take 'em off to re-balance the new ones, the rims end up damaged/marked where the old ones were. If you aren't worried about that then fine but I am!

Blocks are problem are low pressures in sand especially if you have AT or MT tyres with stiffer sidewalls. I have had sand work in on the bead and before you know it you are driving on your rims. I do most of my offroad stuff in sand, the desert, Fraser and other coastal sand areas. When I went back to stickies (they have never fallen off) I experienced a lot fewer problems.
 06 TDV6 SE with many LR and after-market extras. Used only on weekends and trips out west.
