Multiple faults

I was off-roading in Wales at the weekend, Saturday was perfect and the car performed flawlessly however on Sunday morning after we packed up I started the car and was met with a number of faults!

Thinking it was just a low battery problem as the car doors had been left open the evening before I left the car to run and then restarted but got the same faults again.

Suspension Fault
Transmission fault

Connected my fault code reader and was met with the following (after clearing all faults and just turning ignition to position 2):

Auto Gearbox:
U0416 - Invalid data received from Vehicle Dynamics Control Module

ABS:
CA199 - Pressure Sensor Circuit

IP Instrument Pack:
U0159 - Lost Communication with Parking Assit Control Module

All Terrain Control Module:
U0416 - Invalid data received from Vehicle Dynamics Module
U0421 - Invalid data received from ride level control module

Ride Level Control Module:
U0416 - Invalid data received from Vehicle Dynamics Module

Transfer Case Control Module:
U0122 - Lost communication with Vehicle Dynamics Control Module

Vehicle Dynamics Control Module:
C1A99 - Pressure Sensor Circuit

I have pulled out the centre console and checked all connections. Have taken out the NSF arch liner and examined the connectors there, taken out the battery and looked behind for any signs of water ingress, and pulled up the passenger side floor panel to see whether anything obvious there.

Have spent a fair few hours looking through the forum and from that great information taken the above steps but now I am a bit stuck.

Is it feasible that the error on the VDCM is causing the other failures or do we think there's more than one failure? I know that the C1A99 Pressure Sensor Circuit is typically a corroded/broken wire in the NSF wheel arch but there's nothing obvious there.

Now, confessing up here....I did leave the sunroof open on Friday before we left and the centre console did get quite wet and on Saturday when we started our first lane the rotary switch for the terrain response wasn't working but I just assumed that was water ingress to the switch and needed replacing but obviously now with these faults I am thing there may be more to it. As above, thats all been pulled out and connections dried and reseated.

I have ordered another brake switch since I know this can cause comms issues on the CAN BUS however I am really clutching at straws with that one.

Can someone tell me where the VDCM is located so I can take a look at the connections there?

Thanks for your help.

Paul

Hi!

I had very similar fault codes when my brake light switch went. I had only six fault codes but could be down to fault reader I suppose..

With all the sensors and wizardry in these cars an auto close sunroof would be nice..

Best of luck!

Latest update - change Brake Light switch and no change.

Have found signs of water ingress to the Transfer Case Module so next job is to locate one and replace.

Why not take the TCM out and dry it out before going the purchase route.

@Globetrotter448 - its been sat in the direct sunlight with the battery out and TCM exposed for a few days and no change. Found a replacement for £60 so lets see how that goes.
