Newby here - looking for assistance with a D4's history pls

Hi, Newby here looking for assistance. https://www.vertumotors.com/used-car/33350...ion-wagon/
Can you please help?
I am considering purchasing this vehicle. I noticed that it has a DICSO4.com sticker on the back, so there is a fair chance that someone in this forum knows the vehicle.
If this is the case, can anyone please let me know the true vehicle history?
This would potentially be my first Landrover, so I dont want to end up with a lemon.
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Al

I dont know that D4 but coming from a potential forum background and if its LR Main dealer approved used you stand a good chance of it being better than average especially with that mileage and price.

If you can confirm the forum background I would say that a great price for it.

Welcome -

No personal knowledge but note the registration is WF65HRD which has a decent MoT history:-

Good luck.

Welcome.

I'm no longer sure about MOT history as being a key decider.

My 8yr from new VW has never had a clean MOT. Its becoming a joke now and the garage I use just feel the need to add something......

The ones I've had via numerous vehicles are....
cover fitted to engine / undertray fitted / cill covers fitted (that's most cars then)
tyres worn but not illegal
Disc pitted or scored
Headlight too high (lowered these from factory), which subsequently had to go back to be raised as they offered no visibility

Even when I've had tyres to go on by the garage they still flagged the tyres as an advisory and then put them on.

My VW goes for an MOT this Wednesday.

Would agree, and add:-
The vehicle is fitted with Pirelli Scorpions ….. a small point, but it shows the previous owner didn’t skimp when replacing the tyres.
And if they didn’t skimp on them, then chances are they wouldn’t skimp on other maintenance items.

One small observation, check the rotary knob that the non selected gears illuminate in green (hard to see in the pics).
That’s the only issue I’ve had on my MY14 D4 after over 4 years ownership.

Nice colour & black pack combo btw ……..but I would day that. Laughing

Good luck with it. Thumbs Up

New MOT, new advisories Exclamation

rear coil corrosion (Eibach /Koni kit installed Dec 2020 so just over 3yrs old) - I looked at them when I did the rear brakes last week and was surprised to see the Eibach writing still clearly visible.....I might whip a wheel off and take a photo

Rear exhaust - corrosion. Yep I know about this. The system is a double skin box with the outer later designed to be sacrificial.

Certainly the best colour combo Very Happy but take the side steps off as soon as you can (or get the dealer to do it) as they will attract rust/corrosion like nothing else... not sure I would believe the 37mpg though Laughing

Now seen it's reserved so hopefully you'll be back to tell us more !
I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Thanks all. Unfortunately the vehicle is reserved - but not by me. So I missed out on this one.
