Though as no error code and led going off I would first remove under bonnet fuse box.
Wire corrosion fault is usually obvious under relay

OK so I am now back on the rover. I have checked the can bus at the OBD2 socket I get the following readings.
Can Bus, Getting 60mHz resistance between 3-11 and 6-14
Changing over to volts to check into ground and power and get:
6 to ground 5v
14 to ground 5-6v
16 to ground 12v
16-4 12v
16-5 12v
6 to ground 5v
14 to ground 5v
i had previously pulled the temp control module which did give me 120 Hz unplugged and 60 when plugged back into the network.
I guess the next step is troubleshoot the ignition relay and switch. I had already jumped the starter relay in the Bonnet Fuse box.
Looked at the ground behind the battery box battery negative and it looked good, read 12v going from the battery positive to the cable end on the stud.
1. Looking into the grounds and that positive bat cable on front diff.
2. Rear left connectors as well as the connectors and grounds behind front RH liner. 2005 Land Rover D3, 4.4L V8, Maya Gold Metallic

Since checking the OBD2 and getting the heater control modulw plugged back in I ran the codes with the Gap tool.

Summary: Starter turns engine over if the relay if jumper wired.
I've checked the ground beside/behind the fuse box, also looked under the vehicle at the power wire from altenator to battery/fuse box.
Checked all fuses involved with starter/ignition I believe, 40, 43. 60 in CJB.
So I am thinking the following list of components could be involved:
ECM
Immobilizer
Receiver for key
I have fixed the green wire receiver leads in the RH foot-well (N Amer.) RHD auto trans.
Also looked in to the power cable and under the fuse box for corrosion no dice.
Opened up the TCM and didn't see much wrong, there was a corroded connector which i cleaned but no corrosion indie of the unit.
Last time I went at this I checked the ECM also, but will pull tomorrow or Monday, Easter weekend so Sunday is a day off.
i think I pull the covers off the steering wheel, headliner has been removed and checkout the immobilizer coil in the ignition switch.
Got to be the immobilizer or some other module like gear selector or something that halts the ecm to engauge I guess.
I can make the starter turn the engine over as mentioned, and can control air compressor/height.
I assume I will need to get a helper turn the key over while I look for a current in immobilizer reciever, switch etc.

So one last thing i forgot to mention is that my clocks seem to have now looks like they are washed out. The LCD screen text looks like its faded. Since the Can Bus checked out OK I didn't think this would be part of the problem.
Found original key, tested battery in both original and the one I had programmed which was being used yesterday. Both had 3v.
Pulled the steering column covers last night, took the copper ring piece out and tested the coil for shorts, none were noted.
So next is pulling the IPC I guess and look into that.

Well, same as before no corrosion inside either TCM or ECM so nothing there.
The only question from my diagnostics is high readings on the grounds 6 and 14 on the ODB2, mine read 5volts on each but they are supposed to be 5volts when added together.
I have some diagnostic pins to check the ECM pins when connected and "working".
I know the receiver should be good cause I can control the locks, so signal is being received I guess. 2005 Land Rover D3, 4.4L V8, Maya Gold Metallic

I may have recommend you lift the fusebox under the bonnet. And look directly at the wiring to the starter relay.
Alternatively you can monitor the voltage of the 2 relay coil pins.
One should change voltage when gear selector moved from PorN
Other should change when key cranked. From memory.
At least one of those is not happening.
I have posted fuller details in the past and conclusions reached and car fixed.
The red imboliser led should go out when key turned to II
That does indicate an imboliser issue. Make sure you are using original key.
I see a fault in your list I have not seen before relating to ignition key barallel. Algorithm fault. So that is worth seeing if it comes back after clearing.
