Contents checked, so just need to beat the mud and crud off the D4 at some point and fit them.

It would have been nice to do this back in the summer but I will finish the fitting guide!

Thankfully I've matured considerably since I placed the order, otherwise I would have been a little disappointed.

Taking off my old side steps I've found a bit of paint bubbling underneath on the sill. I've not dealt with much paint work repair before, I was just going to sand down to the metal beneath but was looking for recommendations how to treat to last under the new slider.

Thanks

They do look better than the awful OEM Ant Hill Mob steps, but I prefer the bars naked. Sadly with aging relatives these are much more practical and I can take them off when required. To ensure the latter I applied liberal amounts of copperslip to the fasteners (after cleaning and degreasing the sliders to stick 20 bits of Velcro to the underside of the bars).

I much prefer them with the infills fitted. Looks more quality, happy with mine I must admit.

Thinking of getting these anyone have the line-x ones ?

Any corrosion issues with the powder coated ones ?

I'm halfway through fitting mine now, the middle rear bolt on the underside just won't turn. Not sure if is the threaded hole that's the issue or the sliders hole that isn't far enough over to align properly. It's the least important bolt, should I just leave it out and plug the hole somehow? It gets 1/3 of the way in and just won't turn anymore (I've stopped trying when applying so much force)
