Most of these product are "flexible" which is not what you want. Maybe someone who welds plastic bumpers could fill it in for you and then you could sand it to shape. Any cheap plastic welding machines out there.

I've done quite a bit of plastic welding on bike fairings, all for my son so not professionally so happy to be corrected, but in my very amateur opinion, I am not this would work and may well exacerbate the problem. If you were considering this I would try to get a peice of scrap material the same and practice on it. When welding the fairings I used cable ties as the welding material, so not sure if those would work, but something else might do. Anything I've done has been a rigid plastic and the nudge bar is more flexible.
Who manufactured them? Are they still operating and if so could they or a similar co.pany repair them or at least offer some advice? I'm sure there was someone on the FB group who said they'd worked for the manufacturer, that may be an avenue to look into.Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

Maybe try using something like below or speaking to them for suggestions:
Maybe able to over fill with this then shape it back with a hot knife or similar.Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

Many thks as always , alas though I don’t think it will work because of its structure, isn’t like a normal plastic bumper, will find some more pics
Thks again

I think you’ve just found the perfect thing that will work , seeing the glue I used worked perfectly on the piece, so could stick that on and then indeed shape it
Bloody brilliant ,ur a legend in finding that , thank u soooooooo much
Found some more pics, one that shows who made it and also a pic of the piece before I glued it in , can’t find out any details of the company
Have got a few electric sanders, - orbital, finger file , dremel, etc , so can try on a small bit of it before glueing it on to see what works best beforehand
Can’t thank u enough and will of course let u know how I get on
My god I do pick some awkward repairs/ mods, lol, I do like a challenge that’s for sure , really hope people arnt taking to the bottle with boredom, lmao
Million thks once again

Apologsies for the daft question, is this the same type of foam please that u linked to, as just watched this with regards to sanding , or is EVA foam different plse
I might actually cut out the repair and glue in the foam u recommend as that might be easier
Blimey that web site has a vast range of foams , only noticed as the A bar has polyethylene as well

I'll have a look later, just on our way to a car boot. I think the one in the video may be a lower density, but I would've thought the principles would be the same.

If you find something that is functionally brilliant but finish is different, cut the damaged area to make it regular in shape.
Then cut a matching area from opposite side so it's symmetrical... then fill both. Should then look like it was meant to be like that..

Many thanks and think that’s also a brilliant idea , also just remembered I’ve got a surform, at least having some samples I’ll be able to see what will work , think the material comes with a max depth of 50mm and pretty sure the area is deeper than that so might have to glue a few pieces together
Have also got some small sanding discs for the dremel , so can try it to see how quickly material is shaped will do that as u suggested in cutting a matching area , wonder if something like a multi tool would work or maybe a Stanley knife
Thanks so much once again

So after a considerable amount of time trying all sorts of fillers etc I’m hoping this time it may work , All other fillers have just cracked etc
Was wondering if I may pick ur brains please and see what u think , bought some material from here kindly suggested ,
Now have 2 x lots of plastic filler , plus a hot glue gun
This is my plan , Have drilled 3 x holes to insert the larger ends of the cable ties into the holes of the A bar will then use the hot glue gun to secure them , once the glue has set will drill 3 x holes into the piece of foam I purchased from the above link , will then thread the cable ties through the foam holes, then sliding some plastic washer on the end to give me a larger securing area , then sliding some cable ties over the ends to push and secure the washers against the loose foam part
Cut the cable tie excess off, then put a small amount of hot glue on the ends
Leave for a day, then mix up the plastic filler and fill the gaps etc , leave to harden then sand , the foam I got is the closest match that I could find , plus with it being larger I’ll then be able to slowly sand it down
Apologises it’s so long winded , what do u think of the cable tie and washer idea please , or do u think I shouldn’t bother and buy some expanding foam,
At the end of the day I want to spray the entire A bar with black textured mat paint
