[For Sale] Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto Retrofit on Factory NAV (2014+)
I've sold the Discovery and moved onto a different make for a while, so I've no further use for this kit.
I'm looking for £500 incl. delivery to IRL/UK.
It's a full retrofit Kit that allows Carplay (or Android auto) to be displayed and used through the factory touch screen. It is a plug and play kit so no wire splicing or opening up units...but it's a substantial kit with 2 control units and wiring that requires some interior trim removal in order to fit it.
The fitting instructions were a little scant but there is plenty of information on the dismantling if panels on here!
I've had this for almost a year and really grew to like it...particularly with the release of IOS12 allowing Google maps and WAZE onto the platform.
Sound quality is great, the kit can use the AUX in for Audio, Phone and Siri with the use of the secondary mic. I elected to use it with the standard LR bluetooth audio and I found it crystal clear.
I had it running every day for a year and it just worked exactly as it should.
The CarPlay is accessed using the factory NAV key (I didn't have this so it wasn't an issue for me) but I believe that the Factory NAV can still be accessed if necessary.
