Screen only showing LR logo after battery flat/replaced

I had a flat battery on my D3, now replaced, but the screen is now showing only the LR logo, not map, or settings, reverse camera or anything else.
The car has GVIF interface with the button and remote but nothing moves the screen from the logo.
I have bluetooth IID but not sure if it's something physical needing to be done with the GVIF, which I presume is hidden somewhere behind the trim?

No it won’t be the gvif

Probably something broken on the optical network like the Bluetooth or amp.
Or if you are lucky a battery reset may sort it

Try a reset with the Iid tool.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Disconnect the battery again, try to reconnect after a few minutes without any arcing on the terminal - you only need to disconnect one side.

@Flatlander not sure I follow your logic. To my mind, the "hard reset" procedure is king ... not arcing the +ve/-ve can leave residual charge in the various control units, so may not clear all abnormal temporary settings.

I meant put the battery terminal back on in a firm movement, not allowing it to arc.

The 'connect the pos & neg together' doesn't make any sense, once the power supply is removed, the capacitors in the control modules will discharge fairly quickly. I've worked in dealerships of several marques, none of them have mandated such a procedure, including ones that share component manufacturers with JLR. It may have appeared in the workshop instructions at one time but electrically, it has no benefit, provided the power source is disconnected for a few minutes. The more critical part of the process is to let the vehicle systems shut down gracefully, i.e. doors closed, key out, wait 20 mins.

My bad. I assumed by arcing you meant shorting.

Had some kit on a submarine once that retained data months after it should've "forgotten" it. Shorting can't do harm and it eliminates doubt.

Different level of tech., the power filters on vehicles are designed to leak to ground so that every startup is 'fresh', the CCF is broadcast on wakeup to configure everything except powertrain, drivetrain & restraints which are 'hard coded'. The issues happen when there are voltage spikes during the CCF broadcast (e.g. cranking) where some modules may go into a race condition due to an incomplete or corrupted CCF broadcast. in this case, removal of power, forcing a hard reset on restoration of power - which is why it's important to have a fully charged starter battery, can 'cure' many missing function issues.

Try disconnecting both terminals of the battery overnight, don’t disconnect until the parking light goes out.
Does the engine start?

It will when others won't,

Before you disconnect the battery and leave it overnight, check your emergency door lock (l/h door) operates. Found out the hard way and had to use long screwdrivers and lever to release the bonnet catches Sad
