I called into a Land Rover Dealership on 22nd June and purchased a LR Warranty, or thought I did.
My car was taken to the workshop for a check up and returned with a clean sheet except an advisory, brake pads are low.
No paperwork arrived, so got in touch with the dealer to enquire where it was. The person you need to speak to is on the phone, I will get him to call you back. Nothing happened.
Managed to speak to the guy on Wednesday who told me, your car sir, needs new suspension bushes on the rear, that is the reason no paperwork has been issued. 
Now back in June, my car had just passed a MOT test with no issues, so the likelyhood of shagged out bushes would be rare. I took the car to an independant on Wednesday, who looked at it, not on a ramp, but gave it a good shaking and said he thought it was ok.
So, off to another Dealer this morning and re purchased a Land Rover Warranty with no problems.
Strange lot these Stealers, arn't they.

there are a lot of inconsistencies with the warranties. LR extended Select Warranty refused to pay out £168 for a front wheel bearing in Sept 2009, but have just paid out £1300 for a rear bearing failure that was fixed by an LR dealer in France ! Duncan

Don't trust any of these warranty companies , they all have different views on what is / isn't covered 
I just save the money I would have spent on a policy and hope for the best

Iv'e got the AA Cover and before you bit my head off just used them for gearbox repair via LR dealer paid the first £25 of claim (5 claims per yr up to £500 per claim), like all warranties they don't cover eveyrthing, even though they do cover things like Batteries,Starter motors and alternators as well £30 per month for 3 cars inc. Home start, Relay inc Caravan or trailer,Car hire and hotel Accommodation in extreme cases not bad for £360 per Yr.Covers me and the Mrs.
Was paying over £400 warranty for the Bmw on its own last year (waste of money that one!)
The Gear box repair alone came to £350 which pays for the full year
