I'd like to add to the great D4 TDV6/ SDV6 debate as it seems to often cause a lot of confusion.
I realise the UK market is different again but there is method to this madness:
In Sweden from 2010-2011 there were 3 TDV6 engines and 1 SDV6:
2.7 TDV6 with 190 hp
3.0 TDV6 with 211 hp
3.0 TDV6 with 245 hp
3.0 SDV6 with 256 hp
Obviously this is confusing...
After 2012 there were only 2:
3.0 TDV6 with 211 hp
3.0 SDV6 with 256 hp
Which helped to clear up the confusion - the lower output was, as far as I can tell, available on lower specification models, called the S and the Business here. And the higher on the SE/HSE/LUXURY
I have just bought a 2012 HSE which is fully loaded and therefore as far as I'm aware was only sold as an SDV6 and it is badged as SDV6.
However, Transportstyrelsen (DVLA) have it listed as a 211 hp TDV6 and as such that's what my registration document says.
It doesn't feel like 211! - I have used the vindecoderz site and it shows the correct specification, with the engine as 188kw - which is the 256 hp version.
Is someone able to check on Topix for me what it actually is? I can pm the VIN but actually all VINS are public in Sweden - in fact you can even find out my telephone number, address and wife's name from the registration plate, so no secrets here!
