Epb fault advice please. After shoe and pad replacement
Hello thanks for looking.
Firstly... what a great forum. I have literally just bought a 2007 discover 3. I was needing advice and was directed here. What a fantastic contribution and wealth of knowledge and expertise that is shared.. which is great. Unfortunately as I'm a newbie to the landrover world I don't have much to offer!
So here goes. I have searched the forum and tutorials ect and require some advice on the way forward please.
Basically i bought the d3 and the check break pad lamp flickered on. On inspection I found the offside rear pads heavily worn. Everything was was working fine EPB etc. So I changed out pads and decided to check shoes on Epb. They did did not have much left on the so decided to change out while i was in there. So I changed out the epb shoes on both wheels using the Bodsy guide which is great. Everthing went well.
Completed job using all steps. Attempted to bed in epb pads. I cannot get the bed in mode active to bed in. I completed the steps and all epb and brakes work great when the d3 is in motion but I cannot get the park brake inactive warning message to clear. The red p lamp is flashing constantly. The epb will not work when stationary.
I rechecked all epb settings at the disc/drums with a friend double checking. All wheels are free as required. Tried to reset everything and it is exactly tly the same.
So before I split the epb module please can anyone offer any advice as to way forward???
Are you sure you got both cable's in the epb shoes correctly, also as you have a manual car are your gear positions showing in the dash.

Hope you have found the problem and fixed it. I was surprised to read that your shoes were so well worn - at 130,000 miles and having always used the EPB for 10 years, mine had very little wear. Perhaps you have sorted out the reason the pads were low.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Hello again.
I still have a problem!
My shoes were still ok but not the best. Thought i would carry out preventative maintenance!
I keep getting the same error message. The unit is moving through its motions but does not seem to find itself. It then over shoots and jams.
I have checked all epb measurments at the drums and all is well.
I have a video that i will try upload to youtube and ill post it.
