Hi folks, just found this group as I've been trying to find out if I can do anything with two of our Disco3's. We bought three of these ladies in 2008 and two now have over 260k on the clock, and mine has 180k.
The other two have developed a similar problem, slow to change gear and a "throbbing" occurs prior to changing gear with the Rev counter bouncing up and down. If floored however they both go through the gears fine.
Reading some of the threads in here it would suggest torque converter, does that sound right?? Mine hasn't done the same mileage but I was cautious with the gearbox and had it flushed at about 80k and then 50k after that. Goes like a sweetie!
How do I fix the other two girls and get them going again?? I think they've both had a gearbox service at the AD but no help, would this Dr Tranny stuff help??
Thanks in advance!
