Hi my aircon has failed in my d3 the pulley was making a very bad noise and sizes onto the spindle it's has lasted 160k so I have got hold of second hand one from the breakers an 07 truck with 80k on. I will be fitting it tomorrow. I need to get it 're gassed obviously but I have seen posts about lubricating the pump before running it up. It's a used pump so I don't know if the lubricate has come out or not or is the lubricate part of the new gas they put in. www.pcsupportservicez.co.uk

Just had a new air on compressor fitted by my indie. As far as I'm aware, the only lubrication is what is added with the gas.
My pulley had failed as a result of the compressor seizing. No bad noise for me, just no aircon.
Just as another point, the indie did not enjoy doing this to my car. Said access was very difficult. All working fine now though.
