57k miles on a MY14 - too much?
Morning all, been doing my regular "Iggy dreaming of a D4 search" ( ) and came across a MY14 HSE at a main dealer in London.
It has the stop/start and lower tax and looks in great mint condition, priced at £30k. It has my dream combo of Santori black with Almond leather also
Tow pack also included.
Drawback is 57k miles on the clock for a car just over 3 years old, with me adding 15k a year on it and would plan to keep for 5 years min (I keep cars a long time)
What do people think, is 57k too much, I know I'll get the 2 year warranty with it, but we all know about the 3l engine failures on our beloved disco's
Though appreciated Iggy/Ieuan

I wouldn't be too concerned personally. Especially with the 2 years warranty, you could also get an extended warranty.

I checked the AutoTrader valuation tool and price seems about right for a dealer

Well it hasn't just been used for short school/shopping runs, which is a bonus.

I purchased my 2010 XS when it was about 3 1/2 years old with 65,000 miles. I have added around 10-12,000 per annum and it is currently just under 100,000.
Back when I purchased mine it was only a one year warranty and I paid for a further year. Since then it has been without a warranty and in fairness although there have been some issues, I am probably in front against the price of repairs over a warranty.
Having said that, I am about to book it in (to an independent) as the handbrake has failed, it is leaking power steering fluid at quite a rate and it also has a worryingly expensive sounding front end noise at high speed.
My plan is to decide whether I replace it, or make the decision now to keep it and continue repairing it for the foreseeable future.Andy

Iggy, I can't pick up MOT data for it, I'm assuming they'll do that for you as part of the sale. Down side is you can't see any advisories before you get more serious.

If it's a 14plate it might not have had one yet?

Agreed, would have only just been due in last few days, or it's been sat on the lot for a while.
