Unplugged 2-pin connector in battery compartment

Hi,
I have a late 2014 Discovery 4, and while doing some maintenance on the car I noticed an unplugged connector in the front of the main battery.
It's a 2-pin connector, has a male/female and and it was disconnected since I got the car some months ago, and have no "missing" features that I'm aware of but curious as to what it it's for...

Cabling into the connector is one black and one red/green, approx. 1 square mm gauge.

Female connector is seen in the bottom of the battery bay, in front of the main positive cable.

Appreciate any feedback!
