Steering wheel before and after
Just thought I should post this before and after of my steering wheel. I was sceptical but went ahead and bought one of those decent restoration kits. Well I am gobsmacked 😶 at the results. The wheel had years of sweaty hands, grease etc The before looks actually worse as I had started wet and drying it before I bought the kit however it was bad. Very pleased 👍

That is a great improvement.
Can I ask what process you went through with the sanding, how, what grades, how long it took, etc

Hello, started by using a leather cleaner to degrease. Then once dry I rubbed the leather down with 320 grit wet and dry. At this point the wheel looks frightening and beyond repair. So I bought the following kit https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07H95...&psc=1
This contains all you need and the instructions are excellent giving all the different steps in numerical order. Have a look, for me it was excellent and I genuinely thought I was either going to have to buy a new wheel or have the leather removed and new restitched on. Thanks.
