the smallest bit of industrial superglue i could get away with as when it dries it wont be clear, but i succesfully got away with it
Use modellers 'canopy glue', leaves no marks or fogging like cyano (superglue).

Hi verydisco,
Thanks for your explanation it was an easy peasey modification. I used a heat shrink gun and took about 15 minutes for each side. But you did not mention needing the glass of wine as you did this, which is a critical part of the application.

I confess I don't have the 'orange' bulb yet and wonder who has used the chrome bulb:
Chris, i used the chrome 1's from the same seller. They work fine, there are 2 tiny pieces of plastic on them that you will need to cut away to make them fit snug. You will see which they are when you get them, only take a couple of secs to cut them off

Same as above, the plastic used for the base is quite soft and cuts easily with a sharp craft knife, It's ovbious where to cut when you see them Clive

And when you reassemble the light, do you reassemble the unit before you but it to the oven again or heat it up again and then reassemble?

I found it easiest to mount the front onto the body but without the screws and then, once heated enough, with a bit of hand pressure, the front will seat properly compressing the softened adhesive and the screws can be replaced and gently tightened.Clive
