Upload them into your gallery first, and then copy from there and then paste into your reply or topic box

Well, didn't think that could be done, yet this is the second conversion like this I've heard of in a week.
Out of interest, do you have any pics of the wing where you've shortened them?
Pictures now in my gallery craig.

SN wrote:very very nice - won't be cheap for the whole job of course, by my (very rough) reckoning...
Bumper - £250
Lights - £700
Grill - £100
Wheel Arches - £300
Rear lights - £250
Rear Bumper - £250
Tailgate Handle - £100
Total = £1950 plus labour
Would that be about right?
Not far off although i didnt change the arches or rear bumper or handles just painted them. craig.

OK, where do you look to get the parts? can you get the parts pre painted in LR D3 colour, mine is buckingham blue and it would be great to get them 'off the shelf' and not have to get everything sprayed up?

Re: D3 to D4 front end conversion all in a days work. |

bellautos wrote:My job today i thought id share with you all.
As many of you know i have an old 2004/5 D3 which my wife drives and ive decided to give it the D4 look at the front.
I had some panals pre painted by my friends body shop to save me time when building it up.
Here are a few pictures of before during and after i did the job today on my own
Ive since been back to the garage and taken back off the colour coded wheel arches as the colour was slightly out because these were painted at a different time by a different painter and he used the wrong paint code GRRRR.
It wasnt a bad job to do its just a bit fiddley on your own lifting newly painted panels onto the car making sure they were not marked, I of course had to do a bit of simple wireing modification to allow for the new D4 Xenons with LED's and Cornering lamps which wasnt to hard to do once i swallowed the lighting diargam for the D3 and then the D4.
.
Great work on this Pete, obviously a wee while ago now, did the D3 wings have any sealer on them or just lift off when you removed the fixings?#
could you send the full photo's to me by email via the PM I have sent to allow me to zoom in for guidance prior to pulling my wings off!.

Robbo, there's no sealer underneath the wings. Just the fasteners along the top, one along the back edge where it meets the door (and is a pig to get to), one at the front, and a couple right underneath.
Can't find any piccies of it at the mo, though will take a look later on.
