Warranty Direct - do they cover suspension bushes?
My MoT expired recently. Today the car was taken to Guy Salmon for a test. It failed on nearside rear upper suspension arm bushes. Nothing new there, its a known issue and to be expected at 96k miles.
I have WD Secure care, with franchise dealer rate.
Do WD cover bushes that have failed?

We had a customer with one of these policies that wasn't covered but I would check your individual policy as there are different levels of cover. My gut feeeling would bve a no though unfortunatley.

Check if it has cover for MOT failure separately - some warranties do and it might pay out even if it wouldn't normally be covered.

There is no mention of mot failure specifically, the only thing I can find is that the vehicle must have a current MOT for a claim to be valid So on that basis, because my car is now without current MOT, they won't pay!
They do make a big deal out their acceptance of wear and tear, so I have reported the problem on their website, and we will see what happens tomorrow.

Covered a few assorted bushes on mine, no issues.

would it be helpful if I mentioned the LR extended warranty just sorted the same thing on mine Gareth and theeeeennn......???

That’s an easy answer for them to give, and on the presumption it’s given by someone who knows what they are talking about.
Will they provide you with an extract of the policy wording to substantiate the refusal ?

Mine was/is extra care, ISTR the basic securecare didn't cover suspension, but I may be wrong. Too many beers!!

Mine is Secure care. Just read the book, and under the heading Suspension, there is a lot of blank paper, with just wheel bearings mentioned.
Now, my ignition key has a fault, the plastic bit that holds the blade in has snapped, Its expensive to replace, I wonder.....
I'll get my flippin monies worth out of this warranty eventually!

I got my front lowers changed, as two claims (2x Excess) under my ExtraCare policy a few months ago.(Remap, EGRs Blanked,Silicon I/C hose) from BAS, (Torque Convertor, Compressor, FL Wishbones, Alternator) by WD, Belts by Newbury4x4, Megaflush+extra cooler by GRGB, Diff+Transfer oils, ARB Bushes, Fuel filter, Fixed Towbar, Remote FBH.
