Air suspension resetting tool |
|
After changing a front air suspension, the service center could not reset the air suspension as the computer they had was not updated and old. Now i am stuck with very hard suspension. The nearest LR center is about 800kilometers away. Is ther any tool i can buy to reset this. I understand that you need to measure the height and key in for all 4 tires to arch when doing this.
thanks

If you mean CALIBRATE the air suspension then yes, the IID Tool from GAP Diagnostics will do it.
However I am not sure how calibrating the air suspension will improve the "very hard suspension" problem.
What height is the car at? Is it very low (on the bump stops)?
Could it be that they cannot get the air compressor to fill the system?
You might need to short out the Compressor Relay for a while to get the tank filled a little bit. Someone more knowledgeable will be along sooner or later.
I only have experience with calibrating the air suspension and it is used primarily to ensure the car is not leaning to one side. You should calibrate the air suspension if you change any air suspension components, but not calibrating the suspension is not the cause of a hard ride IMO. Dennis

Have a look at this post particularly the last page.

It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
